Ghosts on the Page

Our Town Book

Writer and HCC English instructor, Addison James, will lead a discussion about the role of the ghost in Thornton Wilder's Our Town, which is this year's Hopkinsville Big Read selection.  Whether or not you have read or seen the play, you'll enjoy the thought-provoking discussion in Milkweed's eclectic atmosphere.

About Addison James:

Addison James is a native Kentuckian, Bluegrass born-n-raised. His interests are apt to carry him deep in a hollar or atop an oft-untraversed mountain perch. He writes and reads like page and word were food and water. James resides in a small out-of-the-way hamlet nestled in the verdant West 'Tucky hills. His garden is maintained by he himself, his loving wife Sarah, and their three-year-old, Jude. The youngest member of the James Gang is newborn Harrison, who merely observes the garden from afar. Guarding the garden are a legion of bovine sentinels. They speak very little, but are never seated when on the job, which is a big plus when considering security for begonias and beans.
