Tsering Phuntsok

Tsering Phuntsok, monk

Mark your calendar, March 21, 2019, to attend a talk by the always popular Tsering Phuntsok when he stops by Milkweed to share his wisdom and experience as a Tibetan Buddhist monk.  Tsering's talk will focus on a Buddhist perspective of social justice.  We'll start with an informal tea and chat at 5 p.m. and the talk will begin at 5:30 p.m.

Tsering has been a practicing Buddhist monk since 1987 in the Nyingmapa tradition of Tibetan Buddhism, receiving training in meditation, Buddhist scripture and philosophy, tantric ritual, lama dancing, music and Buddhist ritual in general.  He has received several tantric empowerments and sutra teachings from His Holiness the Dalai Lama.  He currently divides his time traveling and teaching and maintaining dual residence in Dharamsala, less than a minute’s walk from the Temple and residence of the Dalai Lama, and in Nepal.
