The Chair Project

…elevating art for Sanctuary, Inc.

The Chair Project seeks artists and other creative to make a chair, funkafy a chair, or alter chair that will be entered into a silent auction to raise money for Sanctuary, Inc.

Sanctuary provides safety, shelters and counseling…for individuals and dependent children who are fleeing domestic violence and sexual abuse.

The Silent Auction and public viewing will take place on Good Friday, April 18, 2025, 4-8 pm at Milkweed health and harmony emporium, 202 East 9th St, Downtown Hopkinsville, KY.

All proceeds from the auction will be donated to Sanctuary, Inc.

All chairs submitted will qualify for monetary prizes! The money for these prizes will be raised from outside donors. Judging will be done by local judges.

$75 Honorable Mention

$75 Gift Basket for the entry receiving the highest bid

Guidelines for participating artists:

The chair must be an artsy, functional design that can be used to sit on or to hold something, such as a plant.

Please, no beach or lawn chairs.

A stool or a bench, can be considered a chair in this case.

Each entry must have clear elements of alterations done by the submitting artist.

By entering, all participants agree that submitting a work, is a donation for Sanctuary, Inc.

All chair entries must be delivered between April 16-17 during business hours of 12-5 pm
